The exhibition will travel from February 2015 to July 2016 around Latin-America. Starting in La Havana – Cuba and continuing to Buenos Aires – Argentina, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil and São Paulo – Brazil.

Havana – Cuba

Havana1Founded in 1913 by architect Emilio Heredia, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana comprises a collection of Cuban heritage and international art. The museum is situated in two majestic buildings, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Palacio del Centro Asturiano. The first is dedicated to Cuban Arts and the latter to the Universal Arts. Hereby the museum offers an extended view of the art history ranging from the 15th Century Colonial Art to Contemporary Art.

SaoPaulo1The Museu de Arte Contemporênea da Universidade de São Paulo is located in the main campus of the University of São Paulo. It was established after the Brazilian industrialist and art collector Francisco Matarazzo Sobrinho terminated his own museum, the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art, and donate all of its holdings, along with his and his wife’s private collection, to the University of São Paulo. The museum houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of 20th-century Western art in Latin America, with more than 8,000 works, comprising the most important artists, art movements, and tendencies of modern and contemporary art.
