Throughout his career as an artist Patrick Corillon has created a dozen fictional characters from other epochs. In 1991 emerges Oskar Serti, who was born in 1881 and died in 1959. Through his stories, Corillon provides mental images that gradually reveal the ambiguous nature of objects and places to which they are tied.
The moments of everyday life that he give us is always rooted in places where they were born. Fiction is for the artist a postulate of reality; not an escape from reality but a strategy to get as close as possible to it, a research method.
